  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Within my role, I complete daily building checks where I walk around the buildings and make sure everything which is needed within the office is functioning/has no faults. I have also been trained in DSE's to help employees set ups be ergonomic and compliant to H&S.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to show high quality customer service and learnt many different types of communication throughout various medias. I have also learnt how to many my time well to ensure high priority tasks are completed first.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed my programme has it has helped me to build knowledge within a professional working office environment and how a business runs behind the scenes. From what i learnt during my apprenticeship to applying all of this learning into my day to day role has helped me develop massively for my confidence and experience.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure of my apprenticeship was really well organised as I would have coursework to do each month and had 1 lesson where we would talk through it and how we can use this in our roles. It was really well structures as we would have a different topic each month to focus on and to expand our knowledge.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive loads of support from my manager and the team around me whenever I have any issues or I am struggling with something. I am also able to call my training provider to set up a catch up to discuss if needed. The support has always been there throughout and will continue to be there as I progress even further.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I received loads of support from my training provider GLP Training as I could asks them about anything and especially leading up to my final exam I received so much support which helped me get through it.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification helped me in my role as I would learn it at the start of the month then start to apply this and see how it all links in with my everyday role and how everybody in my team uses it also. For example using our established SLA's on our CAFM System to receive and request jobs.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There was many different activates to get involved in at Motability every month. They would create events which would encourage employees to take part to improve skills or to join meetings etc. I have also been involved in apprenticeship events around telling my story to teenagers at sixth form and collages who are interested in apprenticeships.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Motability Operations to a friend as within the workplace there is a great culture and everybody is so friendly and helpful towards you. When I first started I made so many new connections with other employees around the business and this has helped me grow in my role.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Motability Operations?
  • I would ensure you research the business before applying to Motability to gain an understanding of what the business' goals and mission is, but overall to be yourself as within different teams, managers look for somebody to bond with and who they can mould into the role.
