Associate in Assurance working predominantly on year end statutory audits. Testing many areas of the Financial statements working closely with both members of PwC and client finance departments.
Studying towards my ACA along with my degree and have developed many new skills including advanced excel and technical knowledge in accounting and audit.
The degree programme is both challenging yet enjoyable. The university experience itself is enjoyable with brilliant lecturers and the work experience is certainly challenging but something I enjoy a lot.
Very valued. There is regular feedback from senior staff and hard work is definitely noted and congratulated by staff at PwC. The feedback system ensures you always know how to improve and there are plenty of incentives given to recognise hard and good work.
Extremely well structured. The placements each year allow the perfect balance between University and work and allow us to use and expand on the knowledge and skills we have learnt at university in the work place.
There is a good support system offered by the lecturers at university who are all extremely helpful and approachable. At PwC there is a cohort of previous graduates from the course ensuring that they are there to help us at any given opportunity.
The people within the day to day teams are extremely helpful and there is a people manager allocated to each memeber of staff who is there to help at any point.
As we are still entitled to student loans and grants the salary far exceeds the costs needed to be part of the programme.
As we are on placement during busy season, there is lack of opportunities outside work.
Yes
A brilliant company to be associated with with clear progression and an enjoyable working environment.
You will be expected to work hard but the rewards as a result of this make it more than worthwhile.
