My role is a practise success manager. Whilst this is a sales role, it involves interacting with existing customers to support their software needs and understanding how our software solutions can streamline the efficiency of the Accountants' workflows.
I have learnt many new skills, a big one being communication with customers. I have learnt how to approach conversations without sounding like a pushy salesperson
I am really enjoying my programme. I have been made to feel like a valued member of the team and everyone is very supportive and happy to help me when I have any queries or need support.
It has been well structures - I have monthly workshops and then a module of assignments to complete between each workshop, all leading to an End Point Assessment
I have received lots of support from my managers, not only in my job role, but they are also helpful with my assignment work if I ever need support with this.
I have received lots of support from the training provider - they have gone out of their way to book time in my diary to help keep me on track.
It has really helped me because I have been learning the theory behind what I naturally apply in my job role, which helps me be more conscious when making decisions during my conversations with customers
We have what is called the Sage Foundation, through which we are given 5 volunteer days. Sage organise some that we can take part in, or I can choose a charity to work with myself
