On a daily basis, we communicate with clients and ensure their experience is excellent by completing their accounts up to the highest quality whilst ensuring they are given enough time to review them. We all work well as a team and help to share knowledge and ensure all clients are happy.
With the help of Theataccounts, I have furthered my client communication skills and I can now independently call clients. I have also improved my mathematical skills due to the constant need of ensuring all balances match up. My teamwork skills have greatly approved due to the work events that we all participate in, which also helps to improve our relations with each other.
If you were to ask me before starting my apprenticeship what I would of expected from working at an accountancy practice, I would have said "boring and full of old men in suits". But that stereo type is not at all reality, everyone has been very welcoming and assisted me greatly in furthering my understanding of everything relating to accountancy, whether it be Tax, VAT or the General admin jobs behind submitting a tax return.
Our programme is well structured, with constant communication between the college provider and our business which allows for any problems to be spotted almost immediately and therefore can be sorted out before causing further problems in the future.
I receive a lot of support from Theataccounts, we hold monthly probation reviews to discuss how I am getting along. Which allows us to review my performance and discuss any queries or support i require to better further my understanding of accountancy.
Our college provider gives us good support with our studies whether it be with emails or constant check ins with our tutor. They also hold meetings every few months to discuss my progression and to set targets for me to achieve. This allows me to ask for help whenever I need it and allows me to enjoy my work.
I feel that my qualification helps greatly in understanding my job at Theataccounts due to the practical use of the information that I am currently learning. Therefore, I am progressing further than expected and this allows me to produce a better quality of Jobs for clients.
Theataccounts holds extra-curricular activities every few months to help with team-building. A few examples of this being; our work football team, evening of playing bowling, day out to bingo, our work Christmas party. Due to these events, I have felt more comfortable with my colleagues and formed relationships that otherwise would of taken longer to.
Yes
I have actually recommended Theataccounts to a few of my friends due to their overall friendliness and always checking up on me to ensure that I am progressing well and enjoying my work.
I would advise to people thinking of applying to Theataccounts that accountancy is not as scary as it seems. My colleagues are very welcoming to everyone and will always be there to help you with anything, as long as you give it a go and put effort in the job, then you will see how enjoyable accounting can be.
