  • As a product/project management apprentice, my day-to-day tasks involve a variety of activities that help me learn and grow in the field of product management. I conduct market research to understand competitors; product portfolios and industry trends, which provides valuable insights for our projects. My responsibilities also include completing tasks assigned by my manager, which can vary from day to day, ensuring that I gain a broad understanding of different aspects of the business. In addition to these tasks, I assist in various projects, observing how a product is launched and understanding the multiple stages it goes through before reaching the market. This hands-on experience is invaluable as it allows me to see the practical application of product management principles. Every day is an opportunity to learn more about the business and its different departments, enhancing my overall knowledge and skills. Furthermore, I am learning how to manage a project effectively, including understanding the product specifications and requirements. This comprehensive approach ensures that I am well-prepared for future roles in product management, as I gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned how to manage my time more efficiently with the busy schedule that I have now. This has been crucial in ensuring that I can balance multiple tasks and projects effectively. Additionally, I have improved my communication skills, which has been essential for collaborating with colleagues and working in teams. Many of the projects I am involved in require teamwork, and I have learned a lot from my colleagues through these collaborative efforts. Overall, these experiences have helped me develop both my time management and teamwork skills significantly.

  • I really enjoy my programme! Everything is very clearly structured, thanks to the business and the training provider I'm with. They help me deliver my tasks on time and are incredibly supportive. This structured approach and the support I receive make the learning experience enjoyable and fulfilling. It's great to be part of a programme where I feel guided and encouraged every step of the way.

  • My programme is very well-organized and structured. It includes small objectives set by my manager that I need to achieve by the end of my apprenticeship. This clear structure helps me stay focused and understand what is expected of me. Additionally, I have regular meetings with my training provider and mentor to ensure that I am learning effectively and that everything is going smoothly.

  • I receive a lot of support from my employer. Whenever I need anything regarding work or even personal matters, my manager and my team are always there for me. They are genuinely very happy to invest in my progression within the company. This level of support makes a huge difference, as it helps me feel valued and motivated to continue growing and learning in my role.

  • I receive a lot of support from my training provider when working towards my qualifications. This support includes regular meetings and visits at the workplace, which help ensure that I am on track with my learning objectives. They also provide me with mock tests to practice and websites to use for additional resources. This comprehensive support system is incredibly helpful in preparing me for my qualifications and ensuring that I am well-equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.

  • Yes, my qualification through my training provider helps me a lot in understanding the basics of my work.   • Yes, there are loads of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at my work. We have conferences and other social events that our company organizes to get everyone involved. These activities provide great opportunities for networking, team building, and having fun outside of regular work tasks. It's wonderful to be part of a company that values social engagement and professional development through these events.
