I was a live in carer for over three years. Caring for elderly people in their own homes. These involved a wide range of day to day activities and duties.
Yes, the whole experience in this new to me role was an eye opener in many dimensions. Providing care was, of course, the main one, but working with professionals in my company and externally, for sure was an added value.
I have completed my apprenticeship a year ago. I enjoyed it ok, but the repetitiveness was a bit overwhelming.
Getting to understand the standards and how the website worked was a bit messy at the beginning.
I cannot thank my employer enough in supporting me throughout the apprenticeship.
All tutors were very helpful and always available either on the phone or email, when needed. Cannot complaint at all.
I gained great insight into procedures and legislation. These helped me to better understand the policies and job requirements of my employer.
No, not really. The type of job I did did not support many social interactions with my work or training colleagues.
Yes
Trinity is an honest employer and I believe that this is a rare quality. The staff are friendly and I felt well supported when working there. Allowing me to complete a wide range of training and gain care qualifications at level 2 and 3 was an super added value x
Don't be afraid to ask questions. There always is someone with great answers in Trinity.
