As part of the projects team my day involves schedules that are constantly changing so my work involves planning the project process, assigning project management tasks, creating a budget, managing a team or communicating with clients
I have learnt lots of new skills since starting in the world of projects developing different ways of working whilst also developing my soft skills
I enjoy it a lot due to the wide exposure I get to different areas of the business whilst having the freedom to develop and i'm given the correct resource to aid my personal development
There is a clear plan for me over the next 4 years which allows me to look ahead and prepare whilst also having structured meetings where I can ask for support and check in with other apprentices and my managers
Regular check ins allow me to ask questions and gain the support I need. It is a very friendly environment so I never feel worried about reaching out and asking questions.
We have weekly check ins as a whole cohort to go over any concerns and look through what stage of each assignment we should be at with the option to ask questions and gain support. We also have monthly one to one sessions with an assessor which is very helpful.
So far I have been able to transfer my knowledge learnt with my training provider across to my role which is really useful and beneficial for my progress.
