I'm an apprentice software engineer. As part of my apprenticeship I move around placements every few months and tackle new and interesting challenges every day, both at work and university.
My programming skills have developed exponentially along side soft skills like communication, time management, independence, and more.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme.
In such a large organisation there are a few oversights every now and then, but the bulk of the course is very well organised and structured.
As much as they can.
UClan course quality is middling. Sometimes their content and lecturers are really good, other times the opposite. The basic content is still there however, and some of it has been useful in my work-place.
I have used quite a bit of what has been covered within some placements and day-to-day work tasks.
I'm a STEM Ambassador.

Good work culture. Well supported apprentices. Fair treatment.
Do your best in your studies and try to set yourself apart. Extra curriculars that develop hard and soft skills are great. In all roles you're going to need to interact with people on some level, communication is key.
