I have currently been working within the Shopper Marketing UK team at Unilever for the past two years. On a day-to-day basis I would have continual communications with agencies and retailers in order to plan and execute campaigns within store to support our brands.
I have been developing new skills everyday within my role as new situations can occur daily. My confidence through communications, negotiations and decision making has greatly improved throughout my higher apprenticeship.
I valued my 18 Month Level 3 Business apprenticeship so much that I am now enrolled on Unilever Leatherhead's first two year Level 4 Project Management scheme.
I do feel valued by Unilever as they have offered me the opportunity to continue with my studies whilst allowing me to develop my potential within the business.
My current Level four project management course is still a fairly fresh concept within the apprenticeship world therefore my training provider is flexible to my needs and expectations to how the programme should be structured to me.
I am still fairly new to my Level four program therefore I have not had much communication with my training provider. I do however believe that they will be highly contactable in due course.
I can always contact my employer with queries and concerns with the confidence of a quick response.
My salary will meet my basic monthly costs for the next two years. I believe that the Unilever apprenticeship pay package is more than fair as our qualification costs are covered by the business.
There are many career opportunities and employers outside of work that are interested in candidates that have apprenticeship experiences. Having completed the Level 3 business apprenticeship I now understand that all the knowledge I have gained can apply to any industry.
Yes
I would recommend an apprenticeship with Unilever specifically as I would have full confidence that any expectations would be met.
An apprenticeship opportunity is completely what you make of it. I would recommend that if you are a bright and ambitious individual who needs support in reaching their potential to then apply. Neither age or ability should be considered as an issue when applying.
