I am based on site. Daily activities include organising and managing works on site, maintaining health and safety, attending progress meetings.
Yes, not only have I developed a greater technical knowledge, I have developed skills such as leadership, teamwork and communication.
I am really happy within my role and the programme itself.
It is very well organised. We are given provisional dates far in advance and then this is followed with a schedule of events and training taking place. This allows time to book this out and allow limited impact on job role and personal life.
Lots. There is good, clear communication with our emerging talent team and we are made well aware of the support that is out there if we require it. the team are easy to reach and always helpful.
There is lots of support from our training provider. We have tri-partite reviews with our skills reviewer and my manager where we discuss the apprenticeship. I also have a designated tutor who I can speak to when I need support.
The qualification does link directly to my role however my biggest problem is that my training revolves around building houses and working to national housing standards. However, as I work on larger projects this isn't always relevant nor accurate.
Yes, we have events within my persnoal team and with other apprentices.
