My role as a Learning & Development Specialist involves conducting training needs analysis with key stakeholders, designing/delivering bespoke training whether it is face to face or via e-learning through our learning management system and conducting post training evaluations/data analysis.
Throughout my programme I have learnt many new skills, particularly around 3D modelling and AI integration. I have developed my existing skills in using the Adobe Creative suite of applications. I have also developed my design skills through taking a design thinking approach to tasks.
I enjoy my programme as I get to meet and collaborate with likeminded people across the UK when we have a session on campus and online. Aside from the social aspect I enjoy being pushed to develop my skills and keep a high standard to work.
As I'm part of the first cohort to ever participate in my course I think overall it has gone smoothly. I have provided feedback through my programme which has been taken onboard for future starters although I believe there's always room for improvement.
I receive plenty of support from my employer and am supported in all areas of my role.
I receive on campus and online sessions with my training provider. Although the majority of sessions are theory based and not very practical.
I have taken a lot of the information gained from my learning and implemented in aspects of my role, from design thinking and agile methodology to collaboration and stakeholder management.
We have a number of social activities that occur within the business including quiz nights, town halls, engagement activities and charity events.
