Maintain systems and help the wider business in achieving their goals by creating solutions.
Auto Trader have helped me develop a wide range of skills including, but not limited to: social skills inter social skills, technical skills, speaking and presenting, stakeholder management, coding, etc
I love my time at Auto Trader, they give me ample time and flexibility to take the time that i need to fulfil my goals and work on improving myself not just as a software engineer but as an employee and as a better person
We have frequent and often reoccurring catch-ups and metrics to help stay ahead of the curve. Making sure that I have the flexibility to explore areas of my own interest as opposed to catching up and making sure I'm performing as expected
More than i could bargain for, Auto Trader keeps offering me time and resources even in times when I dont necessarily need it. Auto Trader is a safe p[lace to me and i feel that as an employee, an apprentice and as a person I get the support needed to succeed.
My skills coach and lecturers are available via email, they've never failed to get back to me, a couple days of wait at most. I find that some units are a bit floaty and not as direct as i might want, but I believe that boils down to personal preference.
Traditional education such as university gives a lot of background information and boiler plate basics that can be used to translate into enterprise performance, however in year 1 of my apprenticeship its not done the most (partly because I'm not expected to perform at a professional level.)
We've got events, sessions and clubs for apprentices to help us improve in and out of role. More than I would've expected
Yes
Auto Traders culture values diversity and individualism, Auto Trader makes me feel more valued as a person and as an employee more than any of my previous employers.
Be yourself, be genuine and don't shy away from being eccentric if that is who you are.
