  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My Role is an Early Years Apprentice working towards my Level 3 as an early years worker and I work in childcare, my jobs are to work and help support the children to grow and develop whilst at nursery and work alongside my colleagues to give the children the best opportunities whilst at nursery to develop and learn from 6 months to 5

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have been able to learn about how I have been able to become confident in working with children and helping them to develop and nurture in a positive way and give them a great experience of early years and also to get to learn alongside my colleagues and hear about their experiences.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy being able to work in early years and seeing and hearing how rewarding it is every day of the week and year.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised and well run programme, really enjoyed it throughout the whole time I have been with the Early Years Foundation

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a great amount of support when I am working and this makes me feel safe and secure when I am at work and I also have been able to receive a lot of help from my employer to achieve well whilst doing my apprenticeship.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a great amount of support from my employer and it really helps me feel safe and secure knowing that I am at a great company who cares for their employees.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have had a great experience and have really been able to perform well when training and also when in the nursery through what I am learning and putting it into practice every day.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I have been lucky where we have gone on training sessions where we have been taking part in extra activities that can give us great ideas to bring back to the nursery and also when I am training

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Great company to work for and whatever role you are in they are really there to make you feel safe and we’ll supported throughout the whole time I am working, Another key point is that I am also able to work alongside great people and ensure that all the children are having the best care and early years experience.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to London Early Years Foundation?
  • Making sure that when working in early years that you are caring about working with children and that you are always turning up to work with a smile on your face as it can show the children that you really care about them.
