  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Work on project, include budget creation, cost reporting, measurement of drawings. Responsibilities - dependent on project size, however this tends to be supporting project leads. Good wealth of experience gained working on projects - and you get to interact with project team (inc. client, design team, contractors).

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Developed a wealth of new knowledge. This includes budget management, understanding how construction works are quantified and costed.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Very enjoyable - good WLB balance, no pressures to work outside of working hours, employer is flexible and training is interactive.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well structured - clear pathway, annual training schedules are in place. RICS is the end goal and the employer is supportive of me achieving this goal.

  • High levels of support - this includes Line Management support, EMT support and project support.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Good level of support - we have check ins with Apprenticeship Outcomes Officers who meet us to review progress towards our qualification.

  • Qualification is well structured to support my day to day job.

  • Yes - we have working groups which enable us to network with other people within the sector.

  • Research Mace's key strategic goals, and projects completed, which shows that you have a high interest in the built environment.
