  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • my job includes grinding marking out burning and fabricating which is pretty much just us making small little things that we will tac weld together then pass to the welders to weld properly

  • every single skill i have learnt has been a new skill as i came straight in from school so i have learned things from messasuring and marking weird angles to burning grinding and welding

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i wouldnt say i maasivly enjoy every single thing about the job but when its nit reppetative i bring my self to enjoy it sometimes

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • i would say that now i am in sask the programme is alot more organised appart from the fact that since we have been in here there has been alot of problems with the workshop as right now we have been struggling with booth time as the extraction in our workshop has been down for a while

  • we recive as much support as we need wheather it was some help and support we need in the workshop or even if we needed help with mental health and other prblems like that the employer will give us what we need

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • ur training provider (furness college ) has not been great since we first started there as some tutors dont even pay attention to us needing help and stuff but also some of the tutors dont even know how to do there job

  • the qualifications we gained from college did not help me once i had moved into sask as we were doing a different job in college
