  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

    • I am a trainee Quantity Surveyor so I manage the cash flow of construction projects, and manage all the procurement. On a day to day basis, I will send out enquiries, sign off payment invoices and complete a full bill of quantities ascertain a cost of a project.

    • The skills I have learnt comprise of; negotiating, speaking with confidence and acting professionally. Skill that have improved since working at SJ Roberts are; time management, communication skills and adaptability

    • so far I have enjoyed my time at SJ Roberts especially with all the skills I have learnt

    • When tasked with something I have not done everyone is ready to help when it is needed.

    • Since I learn about the role on a both academic and hands on way, I believe this gives me a great boost in my learning about on how to become a qualified quantity surveyor.

    • Yes, at SJ Roberts we sponsor charity events, CPDs are available, we take part in cake sales and raffles.
