My dad to day role is a pmo support role for a leadership team. This involves performing tasks that seniors may ask from me such as attending meetings, booking meetings, emails or helping out with bid work etc.
Yes i have learnt many skills. My previous role at IBM was an DevOps engineer, so build skiils up such as coding from scratch. Presentation skills were also picked up, as well as further technical skills you would experience in such a role.
I enjoy the work at IBM to a great extent, its certainly been an engaging and enjoyable experience. I look forward to bettering myself and learning even more skills, at such a supportive company.
Organisation of the programme, can be a bit hectoc, at times as the training provider has not been so reliable. The structure from IBM is very solid though, allowing time for work to be completed.
I recieve plenty of support from my employer, they are always open for catchups and will support with anything that i may ask from them. The communication is as open as you want it to be.
The support here varies, there are reviews every so ofte. You must seek out support externally but somethings this can be made difficult to the structure if the programme and similar issues such as changing inboxes.
This work from the training provider is certainly insightful, and does fut my dad to day tasks very well for the most part, especially when i was involved in a more technical role. The sift skills are pointed out from the programme and can be built up during the workplace.
Yes
Very supportive company, especially for early professionals. They are not looked down upon and are included a lot into the company dynamics.
Ensure you research the company as much as you can, while applying. This will help you to undestadng what ibm are as a company and what they do. This is key to landing a role.
