  • As an Office Administrator on a Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship, I support daily office operations by managing communication, organising files, scheduling meetings and outings, and maintaining supplies. I assist various departments with administrative tasks, ensuring efficiency and accuracy while developing key skills in organisation, communication, and business support.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Throughout my apprenticeship, I’ve developed strong organisational and communication skills, gained hands-on experience in office management, and built confidence in a professional setting. I’ve learned to prioritise tasks, use new digital systems, and adapt quickly. This journey has truly transformed my confidence, professionalism, and ability to work independently.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I absolutely loved my apprenticeship, it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. At a time when I felt unsure about my future, it gave me direction, purpose, and confidence. I wouldn’t be where I am today without it, and I’m truly grateful for the journey.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • While my training provider’s structure could have been more consistent...having around six different tutors was challenging at times, the support from my workplace made a big difference. Despite the changes, I stayed on track and continued progressing, thanks to the guidance and encouragement from my team.

  • I receive incredible support from my employer. They’ve guided me every step of the way, offering hands-on training, regular feedback, and encouragement. Their belief in me has boosted my confidence and helped me grow both professionally and personally. I truly feel valued and supported in my role.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider has supported me in achieving my qualification by offering helpful resources, regular check-ins, and guidance when needed. Although there were some challenges with tutor changes, they were approachable and responsive. Their support, combined with my own determination, helped me stay focused and successfully progress through the programme.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification has definitely helped me perform better in my role. It’s given me a deeper understanding of business processes, improved my organisational and communication skills, and boosted my confidence. The coursework often linked directly to real tasks, helping me apply what I learned straight into my day-to-day work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are extra-curricular activities at my workplace, including team social days, outreach, and charity networking events. These have been great for building relationships and boosting team morale. I’ve also had opportunities to attend professional development sessions and networking events, which have helped me grow both personally and professionally and have done a lot of additional training courses.
