I work with IBM Partners to sell our technology. This can involve working on deals, tender responses, delivering product demonstrations and sales enablement sessions. I also have the opportunity to engage in wider initiatives within the organisation.
I've developed technical skills through understanding our product portfolio, and soft skills such as time management, communication, leadership.
I have a varied experience and have the chance to work with a variety of teams, so I enjoy it very much.
It is well structured and we are given as much support as needed.
We have support from our immediate team through mentors and have two managers. One manager focusses on pastoral care and ensures we have a smooth transition into and from the early professional programme.
Our training provider offers us a lot of support. We have a dedicated university mentor and tripartite meetings with both our organisation and our university mentor.
I have found it to be relevant to the Partner Technical Sales Specialist role.
There are extensive extra-curricular activities and communities in IBM across the base locations.
Yes
We are given meaningful work and can have greater responsibility within our teams despite being an early professional.
Be authentic and show your enthusiasm for the role/industry!
