due to being at college full time my days differ as i do one subject for the whole day. This consists of mechanical maintenance, machining and building and testing circuits. all these lessons are full the full day so you can get a lot more done during that time. the project im currently working on for CAD is designing and making a watch vice.
as i have not done much engineering previously every day i learn new things and gain knowledge i can use when i go into company. being able to learn the fundamentals of mechanical measurement and CAD means that when going into the workplace i feel like I will be more confident on doing tasks.
during my time i have thoroughly enjoyed the apprenticeship. i have had the opportunity to learn new skills and gain confidence in my ability to carry out harder more complicated tasks.
The program is very well structured and i have a clear plan on what i will be doing in the future when i will be going into the workplace. The rotations are structured well and give a good amount of time to learn about the different department.
The support form the company has been great and i know that i can get support if i need it.
the support from my training provider has been good and i know that i can ask my tutors for any support if i ever need it.
due to learning full time at the college i am able to do different units that i know i can use in the workplace like wiring and CAD. i know that these things will be used in the workplace and now i can get the fundamentals of it before doing it in the workplace
I have not had the chance to attend it but i know that they do social events and activities
