  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Daily - my role consists attending daily stands up, communicating any blockers I have, developing stories for different squads - learning on plural sight by watching videos and completing projects for my apprenticeship!

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes! I have become alot more confident and honed in on different skills which has helped me. Time management was key for me and I manage my workload better by the use of the visual task boards.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the learning aspect and also the people, other apprentice's are extremely helpful and collaborative in my team which has contributed to feeling great on the programme.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very organised, we receive a set learning plan with e-learning material and I have attended 3 residentials so far, Software development fundamentals, Database fundaments and Javascript course. Final one will be cyber secure coder which I am looking forward too!

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • So much support from my line manager he is great and empathetic!! Really attentive and a great source of knowledge!

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have a monthly check in with my training mentor, who tells me if I am on target or not in regards to completeing my apprenticeship, he advises me on what I need to do to reach the next level.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like my training programme so far has set the foundation for me in my role. I understand the theoretical aspect to my role before the rest which is great to have background knowledge

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes! reebot local and reboot ressions have been a great way to meet like-minded individuals in the tech space! also attending hackathons has been a really fun seamless way into the introduction of coding!

  • Yes
