On a day to day basis I complete many different tasks within financial reporting such as cost transfers and invoicing. I also produce and analyse reports to help us understand costs and revenue from clients.
I have no previous experience with finance so all my skills are new. I am consistently learning new skills and building upon those learned through previous tasks within Capgemini.
I really enjoy my apprenticeship, being able to learn through a hands on and practical approach has been fantastic. There are so many people available to support and guide you that it has been a great experience so far.
The CMDA degree apprenticeship is really well structured both by the university and the company. From the induction weeks to our on campus blocks we are well supported.
I have received lots of support from my people manager and account managers who offer consistent opportunities to learn on the job and also take time to complete university work.
We have received a good amount of support during our on campus days, there is no real ongoing support when we are off campus as this is provided through the company.
So far, the modules covered haven't related to my current role, however as I progress through the apprenticeship the baseline knowledge covered at university will become more relevant.
There are many social activities to take part in through the business area, EET and the company as a whole. I also take part in initiatives which are a great way to grow your network and contribute to the business outside of day to day activities.
Yes
Capgemini is a great place to work, especially as an apprentice because the opportunities are endless. I can already recognise the room for growth and improvement and working within such a supporting and uplifting environment is motivating.
Don't be afraid to be bold and showcase yourself and your abilities, being confident in your skills and abilities is great and is what will make you stand out!
