  • Communicating with my team members about tasks needing to be completed. Helping out where I have capacity, and completing my own EGAs.

  • Developed my communication skills with my team members and the client. Developed confidence to complete tasks that are way out of my depth, and to find solutions through coaching and initiative.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme is mentally challenging at times, ith long hours to complete tasks, however, it is rewarding when making new friends with team members and there being a sense of team spirit, as we're all in it together.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think the programme is well structured, however it can sometimes be frustrating being un-booked at the end of busy season, as I am eager to use my practical skills to help the company out.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Both of my teams were helpful, as they made sure to check up on me, but also made me feel welcome to ask any questions and request coaching when need be.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The University regularly sent us emails throughout placement and gave us support emails if we needed help. They also provide us with learning materials for our ICAEW exams.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Learning the basics and then the in depth parts about Accounting enables you to have background knowledge when entering placement. This background knowledge can then be applied when you are given specific tasks during placement.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There were social occasions for once signings had happened, which enabled the team to have a good time and relax after working really hard to hit deadlines.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • PwC is an global company that is a privilege to be a part of. They are providing me with such an amazing and unique opportunity to be fast-tracked into a qualified chartered accountant at such a young age. Therefore, I feel as though it would only be right to spread the word of their opportunities to others with similar desires who wish to work hard and succeed.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • Be confident and do your research. You do not have to be completely business minded to be a part of PwC, however you must have the drive and desire to complete work to your best ability and provide a top quality service to your clients.
