  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Focusing on the day to day interactions that a Quantity Surveyor would do. We gain valuable insight into payments, how to act in a workplace and the team are supportive if an error is made.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I like the experience of it and the pressure. I like the fact that everything I do has a real effect on the project. It's very rewarding and satisfying when a job is done correctly. I believe that the work at Birmingham City University could be better however. I personally find it not as thought provoking and it doesn't relate to a Quantity Surveyor day to day.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes. There are regualr work night events that act as team bonding, to show that we aren't just colleagues. However, I would like sports teams as I feel it could be a nice distraction from work.
