  • Construction and maintenance of Substation from 33kv up to 132kv and routinely inspections

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • How to stay safe around a substation and the dangers associated with working in them and then how to find safety documents and then take oil samples and complete routine maintenance on transformer

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Enjoy the program well as there is many different types of work I can do however the start of the apprenticeship is slow due to the lake of training

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • At the start of the training program it was well organised however due the lack of trainers for my job the training has become more hard to keep structured

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I am give all correct and good PPE before starting on site work and have the ability to get mental help and support from other place of the company and outside help

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • All trainers at the NGED training centre that are available are help and all willing to help but the lack of trainers is an issue for course

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am give time to complete my City & Guilds training over the year and have the tools to do it at the office or home or in the college for one module

  • I believe there are some however non have become available to me as of yet
