  • I support other managers and run shifts as well as managing goals and labour figures whilst doing so.

  • Yes, during my apprenticeship I have learnt a lot of new skills and I am developing more constantly.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my program, sometimes it’s hard at work to get all of my off the job hours done due to not having enough staff but we are managing that a lot better now.

  • It’s good! I really enjoy doing the learning plan!

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Good support, it could be better at times I feel like sometimes they lack the knowledge surrounding the apprenticeship so it’s hard to get help but they do sit and help me find the answers and support me in that sense

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • So much better, since starting I feel like I have a better understanding of the business and what I am working towards whilst out on the shop floor.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • No however we are a very social team and we do get involved in a lot of charity events.

  • Yes

  • It’s a great environment to work in with something new everyday. Flexible hours and good pay with plenty of opportunities.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
  • It’s a great place to work, don’t be nervous just smile and be yourself! It may seem daunting at first but you’ll get there and there is a supportive team right behind you.
