I currently work for inventory control team for Aldi logistics, our team role is to check the accuracy of each department. We carry out several daily task such as selector checks, racking checks, and intake checks. we also do daily Perpetual counts on every department to see if we have gained or lossed on any products and investigate these product lines if we need too.
Doing this appreticeship i have developed my existing skills as i've been shadowing my deputy manager and sectionleader. I have learned more indepth on the systems we use in the warehouse and why we do the daily tasks and how it benefits the warehouse as a whole. I've also learned new skills that will help me develope in my career as a manager in the future.
I enjoy the apprenticeship programme very much, its been interesting learning new parts of the job that i haven't done before and helped me understand why we do cartain things. I find that doing the monthly workshops has also helped with my aniexty with speaking in groups of people and mixing with new people.
I've had no issues so far with the programme, i feel like it is run very smoothly and effiecently. All my team calls have been on time and never have an issues while doing my workshops. I think the design of the workshops have been created very well and so far have really enjoyed doing them.
I have received all the support i possible could get from my employer, my section leader and deputy are very supportive. They are always on hand if i needf advice on a task and always provide me with feedback which i appricate.
