I am accountable for the selling tech strategy for Waitrose. This involves influencing budget holders to sponsor change programmes
I have learned a lot about running high performance teams, effective delegation, project sponsorship, influencing and negotiation, and models for driving and delivering change effectively.
I feel I have got so much out of this programme. I've levelled up in knowledge, skills and behaviour. I have become so much more intentional in my approach to work as a result of this.
The programme is very well structured. The first 12 months has been delivered as online training, split across 6 units, with regular tutor check-ins to see how I'm applying my learnings. The next 3 months are the end point assessment - a project I have to deliver.
My employer fully supports me. They have given me a day per week as non-working time to dedicate to the programme. My manager encourages me to share what I've learned with the wider team.
Corndel have been super supportive. Their online training platform (Aptem) takes a little getting used to, but then it guides you through the course well. I have monthly 121's with my personal tutor, and a quarterly session with both my tutor and line manager together,
This course has definitely given me super powers. I understand the forces that are motivating and resisting change better. I know how to approach transformation such that I can increase the chance of successful change programme. I know how to understand and motivate my team so much better.
The John Lewis Partnership has many societies and groups to get involved with, including a ski club, a sailing club, a music society and a theatre group.
