My role is Procurement - Higher Apprentice. A typical day consists of working within an area of the procurement cycle for the manufacturing industry, along with studying towards a relevant qualification.
I have learnt an abundance of new skills which can be applied to almost any industry.
I have really enjoyed my programme so far and would recommend it to people who were considering the supply chain route.
I think the programme is well structured, however at times it could have been better.
I receive all the support required from my employer.
The people I have worked with have been brilliant, however through no fault of their own I think it would have been more beneficial having more regular sessions with them.
My qualification has allowed me to gain lots of experience and knowledge which has supported me learning about my actual job.

brilliant work/life balance, flexible working times, good managers, interesting work and good pay.
it is a hard application process, don't worry if you fail one time. it is likely due to demand, not your ability. Also, it is a very hard industry to understand so i wouldn't let that daunt you.
