I am a paint prep and painter apprentice for steer. My day to day involves getting cars ready for the painting stage and painting them
I have developed new skills aswell as improving the skills I had already learnt before my apprenticeship. I have been given lots of opportunities to go on training courses which have helped me progress with my skills in my day to day life and for my apprenticeship
I enjoy the practical side of my apprenticeship aswell as the theory side and learning different techniques to do my job
My programme is very organised I do I do maths functional skills lessons every week to help with my learning and I always have someone who I can message when I am stuck with my coursework
I receive excellent support for steer they provide lots of opportunities for me to improve as an employee. They put on competitions and training days which are amazing and help me with my confidence
I receive great support I do functional skills maths lessons with a tutor every week and my coursework tutor comes in and sees me to help me with my theory work that I need to Complete for my apprenticeship NVQ
My qualification though my training provider helps me perform better because it is a in house apprenticeship so I spend all my time the workshop so I am constantly working on my abilities and I don’t have to worry about going away for a week to learn someplace else
We have apprentice activity days where the apprentices get together and do lots of activities like team building activities. Aswell as training days they also do competitions this means we get to meet different apprentices from all over the country and get to meet people from companies that we are partnered with
