1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is a Team Manager for our Organisational Development function. Day to day this involves working with the team to identify, develop and implement interventions which support our employees and organisation achieve it's strategic goals and priorities.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, the course so far has exposed me to different ways of thinking about HR/OD. It has demonstrated new methodologies and models.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

So far, I have really enjoyed the programme it has been run well and provides a lot of engaging content.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme has a clear and easy to understand structure which makes it very easy to learn.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer have been fantastic in supporting me to undertake this opportunity.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My trainer has been great, regular check-ins.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has and will support me as I develop in my career. By learning how to be more strategic this will only enable my progression further.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, we have professional networking within our service. We also have several staff networks we can join in.

Yes

9b. Why?

Wakefield Council have been fantastic to work for since I joined in October 2024. The level of support and encouragement I receive from my peers and manager is fantastic.
