My role deals with software deployment, my main focus is to manage the patching of our desktop estate every month. I also get involved with different projects and scheduling of releases of software.
I have completed an apprenticeship qualification, SQL query course, ITIL, presentation skills and a SharePoint course. I have learnt many skills to help me with my job, normal day to day processes that I had no previous knowledge of before my apprenticeship. also life skills such as working in a team and how to deal with different types of people
I love working for Fidelity, the team I work in have been helpful and supportive since day one. They will always be willing to help me or teach me a new skill. the company are very supportive and are very willing to help improve your knowledge. it is a nice place to work, with a good atmosphere
very valued, even though I am still an apprentice I feel like a full member of the team. My opinions and suggestions matter just as much as anyone else's when anyone does a good job that is recognised by our managers and team
The induction into the company is very good, you get to meet lots of different people in different teams. It gives you a good idea of how the company is put together. Training is good as you are learning as you work with the supervision of actual technicians. you are worki9ng within a team for a long period of time so you can get used to the technology and gain more resposibilites
I don't receive any more support from my training provider as I finished the course two years ago. when in the classroom the teacher was very helpful and gave us guidance on any issues we had.
I receive lots of support, my manager always looks out for what i am doing and makes sure my workload is fine. the team running the apprentice scheme also keep in touch with our progress. all of the team will help if i have problems, there is a very big support structure for me.
very well, when I first started I was given a bonus to help buy office clothes and the salary covers all of my working expenses / daily living costs and social costs.
yes there are many events that the company promote, lots of charity events and social events. we can also exercise as there are onsite shower facilities Also i have friends from work that i meet and chat with outside of work
Yes
it is a good place to work, nice location, good salary and a wonderful atmosphere.
make sure you have a basic understanding of the company, be yourself, once you have got to the interview stage you are qualified enough to be there, they want to know what you are like as person and how you will fit in with the teams. the interview process sounds daunting but when I went through it, they made me feel at ease and day went well.
