  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

    • I’m an apprentice painter and decorator. This involves me learning the tricks of the trade out on site and also at college.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

    • Yes. I have learnt the process of painting many different things such as rooms to lampposts on train stations and the exterior of buildings.

    • I really enjoy my programme

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

    • The structure and organisation of my programme is very good. I was accepted into my apprenticeship a bit later then others however Bagnalls helped me to catch up with everything with college and have always asked if I need anything extra to help with my job.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

    • I receive an enormous amount of help from my employer. They help me by supplying the tools for the job and also a vast range of training courses to widen my learning about the trade and allow me to get multiple new qualifications.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

    • I receive a lot of support from my college. They are always asking if there’s anything I need help on or want to learn about.

    • It helps me find out new ways to perform certain tasks.

    • Yeah there’s a Christmas party each year.

    • Yes

    • I have a lot of fun working for Bagnalls and I enjoy going to work everyday.

    • It’s a great company to work for. Straight forward application process and we’re very quick with replying to any questions I had about the job.
