I work as an audit associate. This involves me to get coaching from the senior associate to be able to complete my testings on the material financial line items. It also involves me talking to the clients to request for sample documentation or to ask for explanations.
I have learnt new skills on Excel as well as using the company's software. I would say I am more confident now when talking to clients and I can manage my own time. I am much more responsible ad I take pride in the work I do.
I love my programme as it allows me to experience a glimpse of the working environment. Also, we do the exams as part of our university exams which helps us to focus only on these exams. Otherwise, I would be working and at the same time do the exams.
The programme itself is organised. We start by having all our lectures, then placement, then exams. This is good as we can revisit lecture contents over placement. It also gives us a break from university.
I received a lot of support. I was getting coached by many people. They are all good at explaining the tasks. I also could go back to them whenever i had a question and they would reply promptly.
My lecturers are really good. Always open to answer my questions. The way they explained the content was clear and concise.
The things I learnt in the lectures help me understand more about the audit process.
There are many extra-curricular activities to get involved in. I had the chance to go climbing with work. For the lunar new year and eid, the office organised events which were fun.
Yes
It is a good company to get qualified. Also, the teams are really nice and you get to work on well-known clients. The office also offers many extra-curricular activities to get involved in.
I would say to others to be confident and well-prepared for your interviews.
