Managing the financial aspects of a construction project - Cost Estimating, Measurement from drawings, preparation of boQ, Coduting valuations for interim payments, Preparation of Tender documents, Evaluation of Tender returns and selecting subcontractors.Tracking subcontractor costs and preparation of financial reports to directors.
I have developed my communication skills, teamwork skills and knowledge of construction.
I fully enjoy the programme i am on and how everyday tasks me with a new and exciting challenge.
The programme is extremely well structured and tailored to what i am doing at work, Vinci help make sure that everyone is happy throughout the process of getting your degree and support you with any worries you have.
Vinci are extremely supportive throughout the apprenticeship programme, from helping advise on assignments through to allowing study days if you become to busy with UNI work, Vinci always try there best to support appretices throughout the degree process.
Liverpool John Moors offer great support to all its students throughout the challenging programme. It makes sure you are always prepared for exams and give study days instead of lectures at certain points to help revise for exams.
The Qualification helps advise on all aspects of Quantity surveying some that you wont yet have visited in your day to day job, and therefore helps prepare you for the challenging aspects of being a surveyor.
Vinci offer many different activities for the apprentices to get involved in they also try to do a apprentice day 2 times a year where all the apprentices from across the country come together and do fun activities to try help the future of the company. They also have extra activities like charity football events once year which you can put a team together for and challenge other teams from across the country.
