My role is to do what foreman says to do and also learn a lot of things from them such as every aspect of painting and decorating everyday learn new things. Job also involves social communication as we work on many jobs with a lot of people in such as hospitals care homes etc
Yes I’ve learnt how to wallpaper. Prepare things properly to be painted how to cut in neatly, roll with a nice finish on the wall, properly gloss doors without drips on, caulking properly, filling, etc
I enjoy the programme a lot
It is very well organised as there is plenty of opportunities to learn
We receive a lot of support from our employer if there’s any problems they always sort it an can help with anything
I receive alot of support from training provider. As we spend a week in training academy aswell
Being qualified shows that u are able to do whatever a painter and decorator is supposed to do which gives u a lot more confidence in ur work since u passed epa to get qualified
Yes there are events that happen throughout the year

It is a good job and is a job for life as painting is always needed and can also use it for ur self in the future
