As a first year on the apprenticeship I spend a lot of time learning and doing training courses that relate to the service line that I'm in, this is both online and in person training. When in the office I do a couple admin tasks and attend meetings to do with any engagements that I'm helping on. I've also helped run some meetings such as our weekly team meetings and some Connect EY sessions on soft skills such as giving and receiving feedback.
I've been able to develop my time management skills when it comes to planning out my day and ordering tasks into what's most important and needs to be done immediately down to what can wait a couple hours or days. This is a really important skill as it allows you to visually see all the tasks that need to be done and to ask for help if you've got too much on.
I have been really enjoying it. I've met some lovely people and some lovely friends in my team, office and from other offices too.
It is quite organized when it comes to your set college days and you training days, but the company is very accommodating, so if you need to change the date of your training course due to other commitments, then that can easily be done. If there's times where that can't be done, then the materials will be provided to you so you don't miss out on any content.
I receive a lot of support from everyone, being the other apprentices in my cohort as well as the people in my team. Everyone here wants the best for you and want to see you succeed so will you help you on anything no matter how big or small of a task it is.
A lot of support.
I have set up a women's football team in my office and am hoping to get out to some games when the weather warms up !
