In my day-to-day role I mainly deal with the accounts preparation side. The accounts that I have worked on range from small limited companies to big landed estates. Because of this is gives me a good amount of experience across many business types to help me to progress.
Coming into this role I had no previous accounting experience so the main skill that I have developed is my accounting knowledge. On the side of that though I have improved my communication, team work and resilience to just name a few.
I am really enjoying my apprenticeship so far. The range of tasks that I am given always keeps me interested and engaged through my programme.
I think that my programme is well structed, it has set goals that have to be completed within certain time frames, off the job hours that need to be logged every month and check ins that are completed every 8 - 12 weeks.
I have received a lot of support from my employer. There is a super friendly team of people around you that can help you with any problems you may have, they give time off for study which helps with exams, and are also very motivating pushing you to be the best you can.
The training provider we use are always there to help, we have can email or call our skills coach for any general enquiries about the apprenticeship or we can arrange calls with tutors from specific courses if there is a part of the course that we are struggling with and need extra support on.
The qualification that I am currently studying for is helping me within my day to day role is helping me to produce higher quality accounts leading to less review points been received from managers and seniors to make amendments.
We have lots of social events and a cricket team that runs through the summer months.
