1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Maintaining machinery to keep water flowing, we change gear boxes, shafts, bearings, oil changes, and also monitor equipments functions

Learnt how to weld, and also how to identify problems with machines by looking for solutions

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Very enjoyable, really enjoy being on site and applying my knowledge into my role.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think it is well organised but could use more time on site to build rapports

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot, they always keep in touch when at college and on site.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A lot, we have a mentor at college and also a liaison to speak about any problems.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have learnt everything from the provider and on site with my mentors. i had no knowledge of mechanical fitting before starting here.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is professional networking events but no sports teams that I know of. this sounds like a good idea.

Yes

Because they care. They take pride in the work they provide for our customers. I have really enjoyed working here so far and I look forward to the future.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Severn Trent?

To invest in the company’s values and show how much you care and want to be in the business. And also, to be them self as severn trent are very supportive of that.
