My role as an apprentice is to assist my mentor in different aspects of electrical work, from repairs of our houses to installation of new kitchens or bathrooms or our void property’s.
I’m always learning and developing my skills at every job I attend.
I really enjoy my work and the company I work for. Fairhive is an amazing training provider for apprenticeships, whatever team you are on you feel supported, respected and overall proud of the job you are completing.
My programme is structured on the year that you are in, in your apprenticeship. It’s always been clear where I should be in regards to my progress and my overall skills.
The support is always there. If I ever have any questions I know who to ask. With monthly meetings with my manager to discuss progress and my overall work I never feel without support.
I receive a lot of support, especially when I have exams as I’m given the choice of some study days to help me revise.
My qualification helps me in my role everyday. The training from my provider helps me perform better with the addition support from my employer.
I would have to investigate as it’s not advertised that there are.
