  • As an Accounts Apprentice at adi, my role involves assisting with various financial tasks to ensure smooth accounting operations. My day-to-day responsibilities include: assisting with monthly tasks such as VAT returns, intercompany recharges, reconciling bank statements, processing overhead invoices and so on.

  • Yes, throughout my time as an apprentice, I have gained new skills and enhanced the knowledge acquired through my qualification, learning how to apply it in real-life situations. This includes improving attention to detail, strengthening communication and learning how to use accounting software.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my apprenticeship programme as it provides a great balance between practical experience and learning. Applying my knowledge to real- life accounting tasks makes the learning process more engaging and meaningful. While there are challenges along the way, being part of a supportive team really helps.

  • My apprenticeship programme is well-structured, providing a clear balance between practical work and theoretical learning. I have noticed my skills developing progressively over time, aligning well with my studies.

  • I receive a generous amount of support from my employer, both for my studies and my work. My team is always willing to offer guidance and are always happy to answer any questions I have.

  • I receive a good level of support from my training provider. They have outlined a structure to my professional development and guided me through my studies. They also offer mental well-being support, which I really appreciate.

  • I feel that my qualification through my training provider has significantly improved my performance in my role. My studies provide a good foundation in accounting principles and help me understand key concepts such as double-entry bookkeeping and tax.

  • Yes, there are extra-curricular activities to get involved in at work. adi offer social events, such as team outings and celebrations, which help build relationships with colleagues. Additionally, there re volunteering days and charity events allowing me to give back to the community.
