I was responsible for delivering technical support for the Prime Video testing platform, working closely with a collaborative and supportive team. The role offered numerous opportunities to contribute to technically challenging projects, where I was able to grow my skills and gain valuable hands-on experience.
Yes, I developed strong networking and troubleshooting skills, and improved my communication—both verbal and written—in a professional office setting. Workshops taught me core technological concepts, which enhanced my practical knowledge and confidence in applying these skills in real-world situations.
I really enjoyed it!
The programme is well-structured, with clear guidance and expectation of the apprentice. The course is delivered by QA who facilitate real life workshops to help you develop your knowledge which is assessed at the end of the apprenticeship.
Regular syncs with my manager meant they were able to facilitate any support I needed, as well as just generally being approachable and encouraging. The apprenticeship team organised events focused on career progression and soft skills development. I was also assigned an apprentice buddy, who provided valuable guidance and made settling in much easier and more enjoyable.
I was assigned a designated learning coach who I had regular syncs with throughout the duration of my program to cover my progress. They were reachable and very helpful in between these meetings especially when it came to submitting work and preparing for end point assessments.
The qualification provided critical knowledge and practical skills that directly supported my role.
Yes, there are plenty of extra-curricular activities to get involved in. I’ve joined a football group and there are regular networking socials and opportunities to get involved in, which has helped me build confidence and expand my professional network.
Yes
I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and highly recommend Amazon to everyone. Also Amazon have had many apprentices over a long period of term so they are well versed in delivering a great training program.
