I complete administration tasks for the business that can involve the creation of new SKUs, cost changes for items, invoice processing, repayments to suppliers and some basic data cleansing tasks.
Since starting the programme I have been able to initially develop my knowledge of what it means to be a data analyst and the general good practices that go into this. Currently as I am progressing I am beginning to learn how to utilise data processing tools.
So far I am finding the programme fulfilling and very insightful. I know that at the end of the course I will have sufficient knowledge that will enable me to progress in my career and become a more well-rounded individual.
My programme is structured to a good degree that enables me to effectively plan out what needs completing and allows me to set aside sufficient time to complete these tasks.
My employer in the form of my manager and team leader have helped me effectively manage my time and portioned me enough time from my work week to both complete my learning and also complete my daily duties.
I have monthly meetings with my trainer where we discuss any issues or concerns that I have or they have. I know that I can always reach out to the training provider if I was struggling with anything.
The content that I am learning through the programme is invaluable and will inevitably lead me to becoming a go-to within the business for all things business intelligence.
My team regularly sets aside time to meet-up outside of work to socialise and just unwind which I feel is very important.
Yes
During my 6 months at Poundland I have made friends, learnt new things and overall become a more well-rounded individual. The environment is friendly and my manager promotes success and advancement within the business through the authorisation of apprenticeship schemes.
Show determination, commitment and dedication. Providing you display these, then everything should go smoothly.
