  • Transport Operations, I am responsible for drivers, fleet, fleet compliance and driver compliance. I am personnel leader to 100 employees I also interview and recruit and fire employees.

  • Yes, many new skills and developed more, working within a team and not just within my own area of responsibility, taking more interest in other areas of our business and horizon scanning years ahead.

  • I am really enjoying it, truly loving this course.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Being thirty years since my last bout of academia, it is hard to remember what it was like, it is well structured albeit a little disorganised with timings and week referencing differences.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The employer has been a massive support to me, I have been blown away by the support of my direct leader who has seen benefit in my Apprenticeship.

  • Some modules better than others, some tutors better than others

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It has had a massive impact, i would say calmer with a wider understanding of why Aldi do things the way they do, it has made me question more from my people as well as Aldi.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • No, Aldi are not really good at this, and to be honest we could do more as a peer group.

  • The most amazing company with the most amazing people to work with. high engaged teams and low staff turnover.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
  • Be very thorough in your application, look at what we are doing as a company, our aims and our sustainability goals, come to interview well informed.
