Leading a team to deliver the best customer service and standards to our customer's. Training colleagues and sharing your experience with them to develop skills, knowledge and behaviours. Living the company values of Love our customers, Care for our Colleagues and Protect the pound.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learnt lots of new skills including presentation skills, communication skills and time management.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the program. The way it is delivered and works around my busy schedule. I like the course content and how it has help me develop within my role.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

It’s very well organised and structured to suit the course requirements and the business needs. It’s well balanced and set out in manageable sections which allows you to plan around.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

As much or as little as I request. I gave support from my store team, my Area Manager, my Regional Manager, my company apprenticeship team, regional trainers and many more who help with information or advice should I require it. I feel fully supported on the course.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Again, as much or as little as I request. I have an apprentice support tutor whom helps with anything I need, regular check ins with her which keep me on track. Access to extra support through the student hub which is provided by my training provider.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps enormously by giving me the knowledge and tools to excel in my role. It has help my confidence grow and share my skills with my peers.

Professional networking events once a year in the form of a conference.

Got for it. The culture and progression is amazing. You get to work alongside some amazing people and meet many more great customers. If you want a career in retail - Poundland is the place to go.
