Caring and supporting learning for the children in the setting. Ensuring they are fed, changed and their needs are met at all times.
I have learnt to be understanding, to listen well, have patience and make sure I have good communication skills.
I really enjoy understanding more about children’s needs and interest and how we can support this.
I think it is very well structured as it allows everything to be done in an organised way to ensure that essential things aren’t missed out.
I receive a lot of support from my employer, knowing that if I have any questions or concerns I can speak to them about this.
I received loads of support from my training provider when completing my apprenticeship as any questions I had were answered with a great amount of understanding.
I am now much more able to know how to care for and support children every day and how to do this to the best of my ability. I now feel that I have a much better understanding of their needs and what I can do to support this.
