I help with the management and day to day running of the Project Management Office, ensuring that all projects within the council run alongside with governance set by the organisation, providing administrative support to a number of projects and programmes and working alongside project management, project support and programme/portfolio managers to ensure projects comply.
I have been able to build on my organisation skills, skills when using Microsfot Office and have a greater understanding of organisational procedures for setting up and helping to deliver projects
I have been able to extend my knowledge of the administrative world and can now apply this to my full time role as project assistant
The programme was well structured and I was given ample time to complete and submit modules and to study for my End Point Assessment
I have weekly PMO meetings with my Line Manager and can also reach out whenever I need to to ask for help or guidance throught out my programme
I recieved great support and guidance and could reach out to my tutor whenever I needed to and was met with great support and feedback when completing modules
I have been able to successfully begin a job within the Projects and Change Service Area as a Project Assistant and am encouraged to join training to further my development
We have regular away days with the team, training for all areas of the organisation and social nights for food and drink
Yes
I have been made to feel part of the team from day one of joining the organisation and I also recieved a great understanding from management and colleagues around my personal life being a single mother, needing to do school runs and pick ups etc. and them understanding how I need to be flexible in order to fit my job role around my life.
Ask all the questions! The staff are really helpful and lovely to talk to and only want the best for you and will help you in any way they can!
