  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Manufacturing work on the production line working in main assembly, with opportunity's to work in the management field of the department helping assist the Process supporter by working on projects and completing process confirmations and other admin tasks and attending meetings with relevance to the role

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have leant valuable information and skill with communication and working within a team environment and continuous problem solving with ongoing issues that require managing and fixing. Learnt new skills to be able to use programs to help create templates and 3d models to help improve the production line and improve performance.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have really enjoyed the course i am on as it has given me opportunities to work in different departments and get an understanding of each of them works and their effect to the main production line

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program has had its ups and downs as the management at the start was very sporadic with lots of misinformation or lack off leading to confusion and disruption on both sides between work and college and understanding what we would be doing while at college and the impact it has to us but once it had settled down and we got into a stable routine it improved and was able to focus on study and work with knowing the schedule that would be followed

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The Employer has been very supportive when it comes to everything as during my time i have gone through many struggles and have had significant support from the employer allowing me to focus on recovery and get back to a stable point to return with support with physiotherapy and counseling provided by them to help in anyway they were able to

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The college was very supportive of me as i tend to struggle with academics but i was supported by them and was guided by them to help get me the the position i am at now to get through my EPA assessment

  • the qualification has given me further expertise in the field to perform the daily tasks required of me but as my role expands i will require further training

  • there is events that take place throughout the year but no real social activities take place at this current time

  • Yes

  • It is a great opportunity to get into the automotive industry with numerous opportunity's for progression.
