  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Repair and prepping vehicle panels and spray painting the panel, baking and polishing refinishing the repair using different pieces of equipment.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I have learnt not just about my college course but also about the automotive industry and different areas in the business. I have also developed my artistic skills and using new medias and materials.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my apprenticeship quite significantly, I have learnt a lot of new skills and also developed on past skills as well. I like the fact I am able to explore and experience other areas in the business on placements.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure and timetabling of the program is good and I have never queried what jobs/department I am meant to be working with, I am always supported by my main managers.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive 1-1 meetings/reviews with both my main manager every month and also reviews with my college mentor every 4 months.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive 1-1 meetings every 4 months, and plenty of support and apprentice course advice

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The course I do at Thathcam is quite different from the process we use at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars but i always make the most out of my block releases at Thatcham ready for my EPA.

  • The odd school event here and there.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Extremely supportive and close knit company. I am enjoying my apprenticeship, I have learnt lots of new skills and also across the business.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group?
  • Be passionate, interested in the roll and research the company, remember to ask questions to your interviewer.
