Project management support for the bespoke team. This involves planning projects, organising data and supporting strategy projects to improve the efficiency of our processes.
I have learnt how to effectively plan a project and implement long term strategies to improve project efficiency and promote success. This has allowed me to implement the skills I learn at university and develop my professional application.
I usually enjoy the programme. Sometimes it is difficult if the university module does not feel relevant to my work but I often try to find a way to implement my learning into the work place.
Usually well organised. The apprenticeship programme at my workplace is fairly large so there are often organised events and development opportunities. However, due to its size it is fairly easy to get lost in the crowd and not have 1:1 discussions with apprentice mentors.
I receive a fair amount of support but I believe this is down to how much I require it. When I have needed more support they are a lot more hands on, however in times when I am doing fine I don't have as much interaction with mentors.
The level of support from my training provider is a lot lower. My lecturers aren't brilliant at supporting outside of the normal lecture material however, the academic support team is brilliant. They are often happy to do a meeting to go through assignments. My university and work mentor is also brilliant when I need help.
It is vital in understanding some of the key processes used in my department. Without it I would have to do my own research to fully understand the role that I am supposed to fulfil.
I sometimes attend school events but aside from that, no.
Yes
It is a very supportive environment to work in and there are lots of opportunities to grow.
Be yourself and show your interests as they are keen to understand what people do in their free time.
